Dr. Dezek is associate dean for graduate professional studies in education and associate professor of educational leadership at Barry. Dr. Dezek has made presentations at conferences and workshops on marketing, educational public relations, and school-community collaborations. He teaches graduate courses in school/community relations and communications.

Patrick Gaffney is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership Programs. He received his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Since 1992 he has also taught on a full-time and part-time basis for Barry University , St. Thomas University , St. Leo University , Broward Community College , and Miami-Dade Community College . He has also worked in Indian education for 20 years with the Yankton Sioux ( South Dakota ) for three years, Turtle Mountain Chippewa ( North Dakota ) for seven years, Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians for four years, and the Seminole Tribe of Florida for six years. Prior to coming to Barry full-time, he worked as a school principal for ten years with the Choctaw and Seminole tribes. His favorite areas of teaching are politics of education, principalship, and school personnel administration.
