Graduation Requirements

In order to graduate with a degree in education from Barry University, you must:

1. Successfully complete graduation requirements for undergraduates as identified in the Academic Information section of the undergraduate catalog for the year in which you entered the program. Please note that you are responsible for meeting revisions in State Certification requirements which are not in place at the time of publication of the catalog. Please speak with an advisor for further clarification.

2. Successfully complete the required courses for the Education major.

3. Earn a "C" or better in professional education courses and an overall GPA of 2.5.

4. File appropriate paperwork and materials with the Registrar before the published deadline.

5. Demonstrate competencies of "Fulfilled" in all twelve Educator Accomplished Practices identified by the Florida Educator Standards Commission.

6. Pass all sections of the Florida Teacher Certification Examination (FTCE): General Knowledge, Professional and Subject Area examinations.
