Domestic Violence Awareness Month in November
Barry students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in domestic violence awareness events and activities during the month November.

The Clothesline Project: Nov. 2, 16, and 23, from 1 - 3 p.m., Landon Atrium
Paint a t-shirt as a tribute to someone who was harmed by violence or as a message of peace, hope and nonviolence. Shirts will be displayed on campus. Baked goods will be for sale benefiting No More Tears.
- Domestic Violence Survivors Panel: Nov. 4 from 3 - 5 p.m., Landon Events Room
Listen to stories of horror and hope at this panel hosted by No More Tears and Women In Distress.
- Women Facing Prejudice Panel: Nov. 18 from 6 - 8 p.m., Andy Gato Gallery
Listen to diverse women discuss the prejudice they face and learn how to reduce gender discrimination and violence at this panel hosted by One Planet United. Free food!
- Dinner and a Movie: Nov. 23, 5:30 - 8 p.m., Landon Events Room
Stop by for free food at this free screening and discussion of "Slumdog Millionaire" hosted by No More Tears and Sahara.
Bring the following items to any of the events listed above:
• Gently used clothing (men’s, women’s and children’s)
• Non-perishable foods
• Personal care items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, etc.)
• Baby items (diapers, formula, etc.)
• Small household items (linens, towels, dishes, pots and pans, etc.)
• Cell phones and/or phone cards
• Gift cards to Publix
• Cash donations or checks made out to No More Tears, Sahara, or Women In Distress are welcome as well!
