Chris Rich joins the
coaching staff working with both the men’s
and women’s keepers after a stellar four-year career between the
pipes for the Buccaneers.
As a freshman out
of Valrico, Fla., Rich started in only three of the last four games for
the Bucs. By his sophomore year, he had played and started 14 games in
goal. In 2005, Rich took his game to the next level with a career-best
10-3-1 record with 46 saves and a 1.01 goals against average, including
four shutouts. In his final season for Barry, Rich started all but two
games, earned a career-high 58 saves with nine wins and a 1.65
goals against average. He closed out his career with a 28-16-2 record
and totalled eight shut outs.
Rich served as the
President of Barry’s Student-Athlete Advisory
Committee for two years and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree
in sport management.
He is currently a
graduate assistant in the office of student activities and pursuing a
master’s degree in sport management.
