Natascha Loebnitz went 2-0 in singles and 2-0 with partner Maria Lopez in doubles for the Bucs last week. She stepped up to number-one singles in place of injured star Cornelia Grunes and defeated Nova Southeastern's Michelle Alvarez 6-1, 6-2. She then knocked off Juliana Garcia of Florida Gulf Coast 5-7, 6-1, 10-7. She also won at number one doubles twice with Lopez. For the season, she is 3-0 at the top singles flight and 3-0 with Lopez at number one doubles.

Naber has emerged as the Bucs closer AND right fielder. For the week, he had two saves and a win in three relief appearances. In the Lynn game on Tuesday, he entered with the tying run at second and struckout Alberto Destrade to end the game. In the first Valdosta State game, he came in with the tying run on first and worked out of a bases loaded, no-out situation with two foul outs and a strike out to end the game. In the second VSU game, he allowed the tying run to score when his defense made two errors behind him, but picked up his first college win and struck out the final batter to end the game. In addition, he hit .714 (5-for-7) with four runs scored and five RBI in three games. He also got plunked three times, for a .800 on-base percentage.
