Senior
OH Karla Bersano played a key role in three of the
Buccaneers’ four wins at the Armstrong Atlantic
tournament, turning in 5.00 kills
and 3.00 digs per game. In 10 games played, she hit at
a solid .398 clip. Bersano posted
two double-doubles on the week, including a 15 kill/13
dig effort
against USC-Upstate and a 20 kill/10 dig performance
against Armstrong Atlantic. In
the win over Upstate, Bersano set a new career-high by
recording a sizzling .591 attack
percentage. She also contributed 15 kills and seven digs
in the Bucs’ win over Wingate.
For the week, Bersano averaged 0.20 blocks and
0.10 aces per frame.

Senior F Ricardo
Raposo had a foot in six of the Bucs’ nine
goals last week. Raposo opened the week by
scoring a pair of unassisted goals in a 5-2 win over
Union (TN),
the defending NCCAA champions, on Wednesday.
Friday night, Raposo played a part in all four Barry
goals in
a 4-3 overtime win at Christian
Brothers. Raposo created the first
two Buccaneer goals, tallying a pair of assists. He then
weaved his way through the defense to score the tying
goal in the
87th minute, before banging in a rebound in overtime
to seal the win.
