Senior OH Karla Bersano played a key role in three of the Buccaneers’ four wins at the Armstrong Atlantic tournament, turning in 5.00 kills and 3.00 digs per game. In 10 games played, she hit at a solid .398 clip. Bersano posted two double-doubles on the week, including a 15 kill/13 dig effort against USC-Upstate and a 20 kill/10 dig performance against Armstrong Atlantic. In the win over Upstate, Bersano set a new career-high by recording a sizzling .591 attack percentage. She also contributed 15 kills and seven digs in the Bucs’ win over Wingate. For the week, Bersano averaged 0.20 blocks and 0.10 aces per frame.

Senior F Ricardo Raposo had a foot in six of the Bucs’ nine goals last week. Raposo opened the week by scoring a pair of unassisted goals in a 5-2 win over Union (TN), the defending NCCAA champions, on Wednesday. Friday night, Raposo played a part in all four Barry goals in a 4-3 overtime win at Christian Brothers. Raposo created the first two Buccaneer goals, tallying a pair of assists. He then weaved his way through the defense to score the tying goal in the 87th minute, before banging in a rebound in overtime to seal the win.
