Katie Ralph enters her first season as a member of the Barry University
coaching staff as an assistant coach. She brings a wealth of knowledge
and playing experience to the Buccaneer program.
Ralph has over
five years of coaching experience. Most recently, she was the head coach
of the Under-16 Cascade Volleyball Club in Seattle, Wash. She also brings
additional experience from working with a variety of volleyball clinics
and club teams. Just prior to taking the position at Barry, Ralph served
as the Special Projects Coordinator with Basketball Travelers, Inc.
As
a player, Ralph spent three years with Seattle Pacific where she was
a three-year starter for the Falcons. She served as team captain during
her junior and senior seasons earning GNAC Honorable Mention and First-Team
All-GNAC honors respectively. She was also a two-time GNAC All-Academic
Team selection.
Prior to her stint
at SPU, Ralph played one season at NCAA Division I East Tennessee State
in the Atlantic Sun Conference where she was among the team leaders in
digs. At South Kitsap High, she was a three-time All-Narrows Bridge selection,
league MVP, and South Kitsap Female Athlete of the Year. She also played
four years for Puget Sound volleyball club.
Ralph received her
bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis
in marketing from SPU in 2006 and is currently seeking her MBA in marketing
at Barry.
