Transfer Credits

StudentTransfer from an Accredited Graduate School of Social Work

You may be able to transfer up to 28 credit hours from another accredited graduate school of social work if those credits were earned within the past five years prior to your enrollment at Barry University.

Transfer from a Regionally Accredited College or University

If you attended a regionally accredited college or university, you may transfer a maximum of six master's-level credits, not taken in the field of social work. These credits must have been earned within the past five years.

Application Process for Transfer of Credits

To apply for transfer of credit, you will need to submit an Application for Transfer Credit Form prior to the beginning of classes. You will also need to provide the syllabus and bibliography for each course for which you are requesting transfer credit. The School's MSW Director will make a decision on transfer of credits and communicate the results both to you, the Associate Dean, and to the University's Registrar.

Please note: You will not be allowed to transfer credits after beginning your classes at the School.
