Student Activities

Choices in activities and student organizations are numerous. You can work with the Habitat for Humanity chapter, join the SCUBA club, engage in debates on FTAA or explore the concept of forgiveness at colloquiums sponsored by various departments. You could host a show on Radio WBRY, take a salsa class, or go on a retreat. There are more than 75 student organizations at Barry, with the majority open to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Activities specific to the School of Social Work include membership in the School’s Student Government Organization, giving you the opportunity to have an impact on policies and decisions within the School. The School also maintains a separate lounge for social work students in the Powers Building, Miami Shores campus. The lounge is a great place to relax, to meet up with members of your study group, or to get to know your colleagues better.
