Ms Charania first joined the joined the School of Social Work in 1998 as the Executive Director of the Broward County Office of the Public Guardian. She earned her BA in history and political science from Xavier’s College in Bombay, India and her MSW from Nirmala Niketan College of Social Work at Bombay University. Prior to immigrating to the United States in 1984, Ms. Charania worked in India as a community organizer with women and youth. In 1989 she joined the North Miami Foundation for Senior Citizen where, for nine years, Ms. Charania served as the Geriatric Program Director and a Field Educator for Barry University School of Social Work. |
