Profile

Professor Gray has been a member of the Barry faculty since 1980. She earned a BA from Caldwell College for Women, an MSW at Rutgers University, an Ed.D. at Nova Southeastern University, and an MBA and Ph.D. from Barry University. Professor Gray is a licensed clinical social worker and brings to Barry a diverse clinical practice background. Her professional interests include clinical supervision, licensure and professional regulation, community mental health and professional practice in rural areas. Professor Gray is published in the areas of field education, licenser, supervision and regulation of the profession, adult learning, and bereavement work with rural populations and merging the genogram with the solution-focused model of practice. She is the coauthor of Psychopathology: A competency-based assessment model for social workers. Professor Gray teaches advanced clinical practice courses. Professor Gray is very active in the professional community serving on several boards. She has recently accepted a gubernatorial appointment to the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.
