Profile

Ms. Munnings joined the faculty in 1996 as a faculty field instructor with the Academy for Better Communities. She now serves as the School's Director of Field Education. Ms. Munnings received her BA from Fisk University and her MSW from Barry University. She has extensive years of practice experience in the areas of gerontology, mental health, pediatrics, family counseling, and criminal justice. She served for 14 years as Coordinator of the Social Work Program and Director of Field Instruction at the College of the Bahamas. Ms. Munnings has taught courses in human behavior and crisis intervention. Her professional interests include cultural diversity, work with families with children, parenting issues, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS education.
