ATS Comprehensive Visit Recommends Reaccreditation
From September 29 through October 2, 2008, the Barry University Department of Theology and Philosophy underwent a comprehensive visit for reaccreditation by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada.
The ATS representatives recognized the strong support of the Barry administration for its graduate theology and ministry programs and praised the efforts of Barry to strengthen the Catholic and Dominican identity of the institution. Moreover, the ATS team praised the strong collegial character of the faculty, the high level of student satisfaction with their educational experience and the attention given to ministerial formation at both the master’s and doctoral levels.
The visit and review resulted in reaccreditation of the graduate programs offered through Barry’s Department of Theology and Philosophy for 10 years, through 2018.
