Atonement Library Collection Available to Students
Ms. Estrella Iglesias, Director of Library Services, confirmed that the Atonement Seminary Library collection will be available for students, even though the collection has not been completely catalogued. "We will have some of the volumes on shelves by the end of September. If a student wants a particular book that is not yet catalogued, it will be catalogued individually and available to the student within 48 hours," she said.
Mr. Phil O'Neill, Senior Reference Librarian and specialist in theology holdings, said that "Barry now has one of the strongest Christian theological libraries in Florida," including more than 30,000 reference works, monographs, and bound periodicals, some dating back to the 17th Century. The collection was purchased from the Franciscan Friars of the Atonement in 2002 with a grant from the Koch Foundation. |
