Dr. Alicia Marill Named ACHTUS President-Elect

Dr. Alicia Marill, President-Elect of ACHTUS (Academy of Catholic Hispanic Theologians in the US), will deliver the presidential address at the ACHTUS Annual Meeting and Colloquium this June in Dayton, Ohio. The theme of the Colloquium, “Nuestra Realidad: Toward a Hispanic/Latino/a Theology of Human Experience” will explore issues arising from the experience el pueblo hispano. “It is my hope that the conversation partners…will treat these theological themes with a bearing on the prophetic edge, the voices of our people, and its pedagogical and ministerial implications,” she said. Marill continues her involvement with Amor en Accion’s evangelization mission, and is working with the Archdiocese of Miami on Cuban community relations with the Church of Cuba at sessions held this fall and winter.
