STUDENT PHILOSOPHY/THEOLOGY ASSOCIATION

Last year's Student Philosophy/Theology Association's informal discussions and colloquia were so successful that several of this year's events will be held in Andreas Hall to accommodate more participants. Discussions on the war in Iraq, religion in public schools, abortion, and the question of evil have attracted undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff to the lively discussions.

WELCOME NEW GRADUATE STUDENTS

We welcome new students to the MA in Theology and Doctor of Ministry programs: Sandra Barbalato, Mary Ellen Cassini, Sister Rosa Maria Hernandez, Rochelle Russell and Alex Schlich (MA); and Francisco Hernan Castillo, Rev. Thomas Greisen, Rev. Ananda Prasad Maddineni, Sister Pamela Owens, Rochelle Russell, Alex Schlich, and Rev. Anietie Ukanide (DMin).

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

Rev. Holly Ostlund (MA-Theology 2002) was ordained to the priesthood on September 6, 2003, at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Stuart, Florida. Nelson Bonet (MA-Theology 2000) has accepted a position at St. Stephen's Church School in Broward County. Bonet teaches classes in religion and social studies, and is a Board member of the National Forum on the Catechumenate. Leigh (Ruffino) Svajko (BA, 2003) is now Director of Religious Education at Our Lady of Lourdes School (Daytona Beach, FL).
