
Barry University is an NCAA Division II school and a member of the Sunshine State Conference with 12 varsity teams, including men’s baseball, basketball, golf, soccer and tennis; and women’s basketball, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.
Over the years, we've won nine NCAA championships, had 243 All-Americans, 272 Scholar All-Americans, and seven NCAA "Women of the Year" finalists, the most of any Division II school and third overall.
Buccaneer Athletic Tradition
The Buccaneer athletic program is one of the most competitive in the NCAA Division II. Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams have advanced to the NCAA Tournament 17 straight years. The women’s tennis team earned their 19th bid in 2010, the most of any of the Bucs’ 12 sports in the program.
In addition, Barry’s coaches have also claimed 44 Sunshine State Conference ‘Coach-of-the- Year’ awards and six National ‘Coach-of-the-Year’ awards.
