Some of us express ourselves easily; some of us, quite the contrary. But education helps us all find our way to being the person we want to be, both in and out of the classroom.
With that in mind, we encourage students to really get involved in extracurricular activities. With Barry's 60+ diverse student organizations, honor societies, religious clubs, arts and culture groups, plus Greek life – there are many phenomenal ways to get outside the textbooks and classrooms for a while to bring essential balance and perspective to your life.
Beyond clubs, organizations, and the Center for Community Service Initiatives, there are all kinds of opportunities for volunteering in the community, plus, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) arranges on-campus events. Maybe you can help them. After all, as a student, you know better than anyone what you, your friends, and classmates are looking for.
Your Barry education is only part of being successful; there's more to the equation. Participating in your community, helping your fellow man, being open to expression, leading when possible – all these activities help stretch you as person and bring priceless fulfillment to this wonderful thing called life.
