Recreation and Wellness

Health and wellness are about more than the physical; they're about mind, body, and spirit. At Barry, we encourage you to be well rounded in your quest for your best self. Our Department of Campus Recreation and Wellness (CRW) makes it possible. Also, the Fitness Center at the Landon Student Union is loaded with weight and cardio machines, plus free weights and a boxing area. And to get you on the right track, take advantage of fitness tests, help with the gear, and knowledgeable personal trainers – that's why they're here

Keep the cobwebs out of your system. Push yourself regularly with (CRW)'s free kickboxing, boot camp, and spinning classes. Plus, check out the dance, yoga, and Pilates classes, some of which can be taken for credit with our Instructional activities in Sport and Recreation (ISR) program. Check into it.


There's nothing like a little competition to bring out the best (or beast) in you. Our Campus Recreation and Wellness Department group offers all kinds of


leagues and tournaments: flag football, softball, soccer, basketball, plus the always popular and time-tested kickball, dodgeball, and ping-pong.

Whichever sports you try (don't try fitting them all in during one semester), you don't have to be a pro. There's no experience required; you'll get it just by playing. Just sign up, join in, and give it a go.
