GMAT Information
Admission to the graduate business program is granted only to those who show promise of success in graduate business study. One predictor of achievement is a satisfactory score on the Graduate Management Aptitude Test, better known as the GMAT.
The GMAT is a basic aptitude examination and does not require previous knowledge of business subjects. It is offered multiple times annually throughout the United States as well as internationally. Applications are available from the Educational Testing Service, Princeton, N.J. 08541, or from the Graduate Admissions Offices at Barry.
Preparation for the GMAT exam helps achieve higher scores. The Andreas School of Business offers a GMAT Prep course every term as requested. There are other venues offering preparatory classes as well.
If you have taken the GRE, MCAT, or LSAT within the last five years you may petition the Director of Graduate Business Programs to have those scores considered instead of the GMAT. The TOEFL is required of international students who do not exhibit a proficiency in the English language.
NOTICE: No applicant will be accepted in the business program without a GMAT score. It is imperative to plan ahead and schedule a timely GMAT exam date as the availability of seats for the desirable dates is limited.
