Professor of Management

Dr. Jack Scarborough, Professor of Management, was appointed Dean of the Andreas School of Business, Barry University on July 1, 1998 after nine years on the School’s faculty. He joined Barry after twenty-one years of service in the U.S. Coast Guard, most recently as Captain of the Port of San Diego. The author of The Origins of Cultural Differences and Their Impact on Management and numerous journal articles, he holds a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland, an M.B.A. from the University of Hawaii, and is a graduate of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. His hometown is New London, Connecticut. He and his wife Ellie, who is Assistant Dean at Barry’s School of Adult and Continuing Education, live in Aventura.
