Barry's tennis match with No. 2 Amherst was rained out after doubles Monday.

MIAMI SHORES, Fla. -- Barry women's tennis match with NCAA Division III No. 2 Amherst College was rained out Monday after the completion of doubles play.

Division II No. 4 Barry led 3-0 following doubles action before rain halted the match. The match will not be continued.

Barry's No. 1 doubles team of Elisabeth Abanda and Emma Onila beat Jordan Brewer and Gabby Devlin, 8-6. The Buccaneers' No. 2 doubles team of Linda Fritschken and Kimmy Twelker beat Jen Newman and Zoe Pangalos, 8-1. The Bucs' No. 3 team of Karina Goia and Isabela Miro were 8-5 winners over Caroline Richman and Safi Aly.

None of the singles matches were completed.

Barry (16-0) will host No. 9 Cal-Pennsylvania 3 p.m. Wednesday. The Buccaneers host defending NCAA champion and No. 1 Armstrong Atlantic 10 a.m. Friday.
