Teixiera Named All-Conference for Volleyball

ORLANDO—Junior transfer Julia Teixiera represents the Barry volleyball team on the 2009 All-Sunshine State Conference Volleyball Team.

Teixiera earned Second-Team All-SSC honors at the opposite hitter position. She ranks first on the team in kills (364), third on the team in assists (74), second on the team in digs (235), and tied for first on the team in service aces (36).

In her rookie campaign, the Rio de Janiero native earned SSC Player of the Week on Nov. 9th. Teixiera helped lead the team to the top of the conference in services aces and second in the conference in digs. With the addition of Teixiera, Barry boasts 67 All-SSC selections.
