MIAMI, Fla. -- David M. Kopp, PhD, Associate Dean of the Adrian Dominican School of Education, recently published a new textbook titled “Human Resource Development: Performance through Learning” which explores consensus and debate in the fields of training and development.

Published on November 1, Kopp’s new book views training from a human resources lens and asks the interesting questions, “is training about learning or performance” and “what ROI should an organization expect from training interventions?” It goes on to investigate the ethical dimensions of training and development. The course book will assist readers in developing an understanding of human resource training and development roles and procedures in organizations today, and evaluating global, national, and regional implications of human resource training, development planning, and decision making.

“Human Resource Development: Performance through Learning” is Kopp’s first book. He has previously published articles about job training and human resources in Human Resources Development Quarterly. The book was published by Bridgepoint Education.

The text, which uses the THUZE online platform, will be adopted by Ashford University’s Human Resource Management (HRM) program, as well as, other universities in the United States. Kopp was sought after by Bridgepoint because of his subject matter expertise in human resource development and employee training.
