1) How large is the student
body at Barry? Our tradition full time undergraduate student
body numbers just over 2400 students. They come from 49 US states
and territories and over 70 different countries.
2) What is the student
faculty ratio? Barry prides itself on providing a personalized
educational opportunity. Our current student faculty ratio is 14:1.
You will know your professors and classmates and they will know
you.
3) How can I apply to
Barry? You can either use our electronic
application or mail in a paper application.
4) What is the application
deadline? Barry University has a rolling admissions policy.
Applications are accepted as long as there is available space for
students. An admission decision is made as soon as the file is complete,
and the applicant is notified immediately by letter.
5) Are there scholarships
and grants available? Yes! Barry has a generous grant and
scholarship program which is based on your previous academic performance.
Upon acceptance, you will automatically be awarded any academic
grant or scholarship for which you qualify. Please contact
an admissions counselor for more information.
6) How do I apply for
financial aid and scholarships? Academic grants and scholarships
do not need a separate application. The admission application is
sufficient.
7) How do I contact my

8) Is campus housing available?
Yes, there is! The Residential Life staff works hard to provide
a clean, comfortable, secure, and safe environment in which students
can live. Campus housing assignments are not guaranteed. They are
designated on a first-come, first-served basis.
9) Can I visit the campus?
Yes! We encourage prospective students and applicants to visit our
campus to see our state-of-the-art facilities and enjoy our beautiful

10) Can I stay on campus
when I visit? Unfortunately, we do not have space available
to accommodate our guests in our residence halls. Our Admissions
Office will be happy to recommend local hotels.
11) What are the costs
of attending Barry University? For the academic year 2006-2007
our tuition is $12,000 per semester and our room and board is
$3,465- $4,825 per semester, depending on occupancy. Our generous
grant and scholarship program certainly helps out with these costs.

12) How far is Barry from the beaches?
Our beautiful tropical campus is located about 5 miles west of the
Atlantic Ocean and its miles of sunny sandy beaches.
