As a marine biology major, Katie Leiter spends a lot of time in the water.

That's what the Michigan native says led her to transfer from the University of Michigan. At Barry, the sea is close enough to serve as a laboratory. She even has the opportunity to conduct research on the School of Natural and Health Sciences' own vessel.

Katie was surprised by how much she could learn when the experience was hands-on. What will surprise you at Barry?
