| America Reads-Reading Tutor |
Tutor 1st graders in reading at a conveniently located elementary school. Teach a child to read as part of a national effort. Any major is welcome. It is a plus, but not necessary, to be an education major. Tutors work one-on-one with students using a very specific program with complete materials for approximately 20 minutes per child. |
Full training is provided. No tutoring experience is necessary. Patience and dependability are important. Tutors may not be enrolled in English remediation courses. Students must bring referral to room 303 in the Landon Student Union ASAP in order to complete application, select orientation time and training schedule. |

The coordinator supports the
administration of the America Reads program, including but not

tracking bi-weekly timesheets, conversion of hours to Barry
format, and preparation of forms and handbooks. Additional
