Program Overview

The Africana Studies minor offers an interdisciplinary approach to expose students to African American, Caribbean and African affairs and cultures. Course offerings are designed to consider the historical, literary, social, economic, and political perspectives of people of African descent around the world. A certificate in Africana Studies (18 cr. hrs.) is also offered.
