BS Clinical Biology Specialization Programs:
- Histotechnology: Provides intense training in histotechnology through a combination of lectures, hands-on laboratory experience and clinical internships.
- Nuclear Medicine: Conduct procedures in which radioactive drugs are used to diagnose medical problems.
- Medical Technology: Perform laboratory tests used for diagnosis and treatment of disease and maintenance of health. Includes the major disciplines of blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunology and microbiology.
BS Clinical Biology: Barry University provides freshman students interested in preparing for a career in the allied healthcare fields of histotechnology, medical technology or nuclear medicine with the appropriate advising and coursework so that they can make informed decisions about their next course of study, and the career options associated with those healthcare fields.
BS Clinical Biology (Completion Program): If you have an associate’s degree and certification as a medical laboratory technician, histotechnician, nuclear medicine technician, ultrasound technician or respiratory technician, you can advance your career as a health care professional by earning a bachelor’s degree in clinical biology.
Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Histotechnology: A certificate program for students with a bachelor’s degree. Provides intense training in histotechnology through a combination of lectures, hands-on laboratory experience and clinical internships.
