In just three short years, the Barry University Distinguished Alumni Awards has become the signature event of the Alumni Association. With its inception in 2007, the event was created to pay homage to the vast network of dedicated and inspiring alumni that hail from our fine university.

The award is presented to the most prestigious graduates of Barry University for their professional achievements, contributions to society and support of the university. To best recognize our Distinguished Alumni, the Office of Alumni Relations works closely with the Deans who represent each of the colleges and schools that make up the academic body of Barry University to ensure that we have a varied and vast group of nominations.
The award itself is a breathtaking design created exclusively for the Barry University Alumni Association by a local artist. It is a magnificent hand blown glass vase, with a red ribbon cascading from top to bottom.
