Rodney Barreto ’88

A Miami native, Rodney Barreto is a serial entrepreneur and tireless advocate for a variety of issues he actively supports. Currently, he is President and CEO of The Barreto Group, Inc., a diversified company specializing in corporate and public affairs consulting, real estate investment and development, and healthcare data management. He is also the founding partner of Floridian Partners, LLC, a consulting firm that develops and manages effective corporate and public affairs strategies. In addition, Barreto is a founding partner in Healthcare Data Solutions, which provides turn-key healthcare solutions and services to physicians nationwide.
Barreto is committed to protecting wildlife, having served 10 years on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and having been elected its Chairman seven times. He has been actively involved with the Super Bowl since 1989 and chaired both the 2007 and the 2010 South Florida Super Bowl Host Committees. Barreto has received numerous accolades including being presented with keys to Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami, and having been named “Consultant of the Year” by the Latin Builders Association. Prior to his extensive entrepreneurial career, Barreto was a City of Miami police officer. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Professional Studies from Barry University in 1983.
