Mr. Gonzalo Vasquez


Gonzalo Vasquez was born in the beautiful country of Peru in South America in 1972. Since early childhood, Gonzalo had access to a melting pot of cuisines that when combined, created a sense of unimaginable inspiration and passion for innovation and creativity on him that still play an important role in his professional career.

Gonzalo has been an employee of Sodexo for 5 years and currently serves as a General Manager and Executive Chef for Sodexo’s Corporate Services Division. His education background includes an Associate degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors degree in Food Service Management from Johnson & Wales University in Miami Florida and is currently working on a Master degree in Business Administration from Strayer University in Washington DC. Gonzalo is also a Sodexo Certified General Manager and is currently working on his Executive Chef Certification from the American Culinary Federation.

Gonzalo has been working in the food and beverage industry over 19 years with managerial positions in well-recognized organizations including Macaroni and Grill Corporation, Blue Door Restaurant at Delano Hotel, Marriott Hotel, Nemo Restaurant, La Cofradia Restaurant, Ola Restaurant and Pearl Restaurant at Nicky Beach Corporation. Gonzalo also has culinary training and mentorship from some of the most recognized Chefs in South Florida including George Fiztrovich, Claude Troisgros, Michael Shwartz, Mike Sabin, Douglas Rodriguez, and Jean Paul Desmaison.
