June 20, 2013 – Leading the way for the future of the Alumni Association, Barry University’s most recent graduates held a celebration in honor of their scholarship fundraising accomplishments over the past year. This exclusive gathering took place at The Loft in Midtown Miami and recognized our Young Alumni Association members who helped to raise money for Barry University. Their commitment to the future generation of their alma mater was rewarded with a night of complimentary food and drinks, as well as the opportunity to learn about a number of significant enhancements occurring at Barry.
At this inaugural Young Alumni donor recognition event, the recent graduates were privy to high level updates on the departments they have an affinity towards and chose to support with their gifts. Additionally, the evening provided an enjoyable outlet for the alumni present to network and reconnect with the Barry community. The exquisite selection of hors d'oeuvres and desserts just happened to be a nice little bonus!
As the initiatives of the Young Alumni Association continue to expand, the group hopes to receive more input for the constituency it serves. Celebrations such as these provide an excellent opportunity for other recent graduates to become more involved and give their own opinions on what they would like to see done.
