I am pleased and excited to share with you that I am now Nicklaus Children's Hospital's new Emergency Department Nurse. There were over 200 applicants for this cycle of the Horizon (new nurse) program. Sixty applicants made it through to the final panel interview and only two ER positions out of 25 available new horizon nurse positions were available. I was honored and lucky to have been selected.
I can't begin to tell you how amazing it feels to say I am a graduate of Barry University's Nursing program, and to see how much of an outstanding reputation Barry has on the Miami nursing/medical community by just the many positive responses I receive. I hope for Barry's future nursing students, that never changes. I know it will be because of outstanding educators such as yourself and the many other professors there that Barry's Nursing program will always uphold its outstanding reputation.
Thank you again so very much for everything you do, not only for Barry's Nursing program and its students, but what you have done for me. I hope you have a beautiful day and I look forward to keeping in touch with you and to share with you my journey as a new nurse each step of the way.
