Conscious capitalism is a philosophy that encourages organizations to adopt a more sustainable approach of being active collaborators within the environment it operates. While making money is essential for the vitality and sustainability of a business, it is not the only or even the most important reason a business exists. Conscious businesses focus on their purpose beyond profit.

Walter Robb, Co-CEO, joined Whole Foods Market in 1991.
