On Feb. 13th, 2015, college students representing various campuses in South Florida will unite once again for the Fifth Annual College Brides Walk here at Barry University.
The purpose of The College Brides' Walk was developed in order to bring awareness to the problems of domestic and dating violence on and off college campuses.

Friday, Feb. 13, 2015
Registration Opens at 8 a.m.
Barry University's Broad Auditorium
Join students, faculty and staff from Barry University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, Nova Southeastern University, Lynn University, Florida Memorial University, the University of Miami and Johnson & Wales University for the fifth annual College Brides Walk to raise awareness about domestic and dating violence.
Event Details:
- 8 a.m. Check in and Registration, Broad Auditorium
- 9 - 9:45 a.m. Opening remarks
Speak up & Step out:
- 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. College Brides Walk in route
Distance:
Route goes from Barry University to Johnson & Wales University and back (5.5 miles)
Agents for change workshops:
- 10 – 12:30 p.m. Workshops, Service Provider Expo, and Student Art Exhibit
- 12:30 – 12:45 p.m. Closing Remarks, Broad Auditorium
- 12:45 - 1:15 p.m. Lunch Break, Chapel Mall
Attire:
We encourage everyone to wear white or a wedding gown with comfortable walking sneakers.
Water and snacks will be provided along the route.
