Founders' Week: Thursday, Nov. 15 – Barry Community Fest

Barry University invites the community to join them for the following Founders’ Week events on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012.

Barry Community Fest:

Time: 2 - 6 p.m.
Location: Campus Mall

For the fifth consecutive year, "Barry Community Fest" will highlight Barry's history, heritage and the transformational nature of our university community, combining our traditional days of Barry Pride Day and Founders' Day. As we celebrate our rich Catholic Dominican heritage, we invite students, staff, faculty and the community at large for a fun and festive afternoon.

Join President Sister Linda Bevilacqua, OP, PhD for a day dedicated to activities such as our traditional cake cutting ceremony commemorating the birthday of Bishop Patrick Barry. Come gather as a University community for student performances and team competitions such as bed races and our mall-size musical chairs.

This year’s theme is the Olympics. Competitions include musical chairs, bed races, and back by popular demand – the treacherous and thrilling obstacle course.

If you would like to volunteer for Barry Community Fest, please send an e-mail with your name, contact number, and times available to volunteer for Barry Community Fest on Thursday, Nov. 15 to the DePorres Center for Community Service
