About the Stations of the Cross

Pilgrimages to the Holy Land became widespread among Christians towards the end of the fourth century.  The Stations of the Cross is a Catholic tradition, which seeks to reproduce the experience of Pilgrims following in the steps of Jesus Christ through his passion and crucifixion (the Via Dolorosa).  Social Justice Stations of the Cross is a contemporary way of practicing this popular devotion.  We will celebrate it as an interdenominational prayer event.

Penance Service

Following the meditations of the Stations of the Cross we will have a penance service where those participating will have the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) or simply talk to a priest.  (5:45 PM Landon Events Room)
