The School of Podiatric Medicine's distinguished faculty includes both basic and clinical science specialists. A high teacher-to-student ratio offers students excellent opportunities to interact directly with professors and instructors.
Principal Research Faculty
- Ramjeet Pemsingh,
Ph.D. in Anatomy and Cell Biology, is currently teaching
General Gross Anatomy, Lower Extremity Anatomy, and Pathology
Laboratory. He has extensive training in transmission (TEM) and
scanning (SEM) electron microscopy as well as histochemistry and
autoradiography.
- Sanjay Sesodia,
Ph.D. in Medicine, is currently teaching Physiology and
Histology, Neuroanatomy, and Pathology laboratories. He has training
in TEM, tissue and SDS-PAGE immunochemistry, polyclonal antibody
generation, and live animal surgery techniques. He is currently
engaged in examining regenerating muscle to elucidate the relationship
between innervation and function after recovery.
- Allen A. Smith,
Ph.D. in Anatomy, is currently teaching Histology and Cell
Biology as well as Neuroanatomy laboratory. His training and prior
research includes work in cutaneous biology and embryology. He
has extensive experience in stain development, enzyme histochemistry,
and transmission electron microscopy.
