Tony Umadhay, Ph.D., CRNA

Dr. Tony Umadhay is Director and Assistant Professor at Barry University’s Master of Science Program in Anesthesiology in Miami Shores, Florida.  Originally from the Philippines, he completed his undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. He obtained his Master of Science in Nursing degree from Florida International University and his Doctorate in Philosophy from Barry University.  His current research interest focuses on minorities and vulnerable populations.  Last year, Dr. Umadhay was the recipient of the New York Like Doctoral Fellowship Award presented by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists Foundation.  He is also a practicing staff nurse anesthetist at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Umadhay is immediate past president of the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists and currently serves on the Innovative Item Committee of the National Board on Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
