Education
- Received a diploma in Nursing in 1968 from the Community Hospital Division of Nursing in Springfield, Ohio.
- Spent nine years as a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the U.S. Navy. Obtained a BS in Anesthesiology from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. in 1972.
- Board-Certified Nurse Anesthetist since 1972.
- Obtained a BA in Sociology in 1980 and a MA in Applied Behavioral Sciences in 1982 from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Steve Clarke serves as a full-time adjunct assistant professor and clinical coordinator for the Orlando Regional Healthcare System affiliation site for the Barry University MS program in Anesthesiology. He is a recognized speaker on a state and national level for Nurse Anesthesiology Continuing Education with emphasis in Pediatrics, Obstetrics, and Regional Anesthesiology.
He remains politically active in both state and national professional organizations, having served three terms as president of the Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists and recently completing a 2-year position on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
