Rosann Spiegel, DNAP, JD, CRNA
Dr. Rosann Spiegel is the Assistant Program Director of Didactic Education and an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology for the Barry University Anesthesiology Programs. Dr. Spiegel is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and holds a Diploma in Nursing from St. Francis General Hospital School of Professional Nursing (1980), a Diploma in Nurse Anesthesia from the Mary Hitchcock Memorial Hospital School of Nurse Anesthesia at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (1986), a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Florida International University (2002), a Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law (2004), and a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (2013).
Prior to joining the faculty of Barry University in January 2011, Dr. Spiegel actively practiced both as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and as an attorney. Dr. Spiegel has been engaged in clinical practice as a CRNA since 1986 and currently practices at the University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine. After earning a law degree law in 2004, Dr. Spiegel served as an Assistant Public Defender for the Law Offices of the Public Defender for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. In 2006, she entered private practice as a trial lawyer. Dr. Spiegel is admitted to the practice of law in the State of Florida and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
