Barry’s Anesthesiology program sponsors students to attend FANA symposium

Barry University’s Master of Science program in Anesthesiology sponsored 20 students from the Class of 2017 to attend this year’s Florida Association of Nurse Anesthetists (FANA) Sand & Surf Symposium in Marco Island, Florida.

Students were introduced to state association membership and connected with Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA) from across the country.

Every year, Barry sponsors a group of students to attend various nurse anesthesia conferences. These conferences, such as the Annual Congress hosted by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) introduce students to the importance of state and national association membership and encourage community among nurse anesthetists.

Leaders in nurse anesthesia share tips and information on a variety of topics from the business of anesthesia to political updates as well as ultrasound workshops and quality improvement of patient care.

The Master of Science program in Anesthesiology is a 28-month, full-time program offered in five locations throughout Florida.
