Erin Bauer, DNP, CRNA wins AORN Journal 2016 Writers Contest

Erin Bauer, DNP, CRNA has won the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Journal 2016 Writers Contest for her article titled, “Preoperative Screening for Sleep-Disordered Breathing in Children: A Systematic Literature Review.” The AORN Journal features the latest in evidence-based, clinical best practices for perioperative nursing. The Writers Contest Award is granted by a peer review panel based on content, editorial quality, relevance to perioperative practices and patient care, and use of visual materials. Dr. Bauer will receive her award at the AORN Surgical Conference and Expo in Boston, Mass., in April.

Bauer earned her DNP with a specialization in anesthesiology from Barry University in July 2016. She practices clinically in Louisiana and teaches nurse anesthesia at Louisiana State University.
