Preparation Guidelines for Undergraduate Nursing Students

In preparation for a graduate anesthesiology program, you should make sure that you do well in all of your undergraduate coursework, focusing on the science courses. The Master of Science in Anesthesiology is a science-based curriculum.

If you have not already done so, find out if your undergraduate program offers areas of specialization. By focusing on a clinical specialty rotation in critical care during your senior practicum you will obtain valuable experience to prepare for anesthesia education

When looking for your first job after graduation, identify the locations that will enable you to develop solid nursing experience including experience in an intensive care unit.
