On Wednesday, April 6, 2014, Barry University held its 6th annual S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Research Symposium. Hosted by the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Professional and Career Studies, the research symposium presented the studies of more than 50 Barry faculty and students.
During the event, Barry University undergraduate students and their sponsoring professors presented posters and research pertaining to various S.T.E.M. topics – biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, mathematics, and computer and health sciences.
The S.T.E.M. Symposium is unique in that it allows undergraduates students at all levels to get involved in in-depth research opportunities typically reserved for graduate stduents and upperclassmen. Held annually, the event is aimed at engaging the local scientific community in learning about ongoing discoveries within S.T.E.M. disciplines.
