Nova Southeastern Head Coach Gary Tuell

"It's the third time we've played Florida Tech and every game we have played with them has been a three point game. We are pretty evenly matched. Just about every game we played has come down to three points. We're obviously the eighth and ninth seed for a reason. We are obviously evenly matched for a reason. I don't think either of us is a very strong defensive team. Usually the one that plays a strong defense that night wins. Tonight they defended us better than we defended them, especially early in the game. I don't think we practiced very hard these last two days. They probably practiced harder than we did last week since we beat them. They probably have a little more motivation. We didn't come out playing real hard defensively. We got ourselves into the lead and had a chance to win, but had a toughtime stopping their dribble."

On his game plan:
"Just play hard. I thought we had a heck of a game plan Saturday when we played them up there. I didn't really want to use it to be honest with you, but we wanted to play them in this tournament because we though that was our best chance to advance. I thought that was the team we matched up best against and would be able to advance. We spent a week preparing for them but not for Saturday's game but for the Tournament."

"It turned out that if we hadn't beaten them on Saturday then we might have played Rollins. So we were stuck with Saturday's game being almost a must win for us in order to get the opponent that we wanted in this tournament. We had to go ahead and do some of the things we wanted to do today on Saturday that we were hoping to do today, which I knew that if we did that, they would prepare and take something away from us. It worked for us Saturday and we got the win, but it didn't quite work for us tonight. Our philosophy was to spread the floor with them. Defensively I really wanted the zone because I didn't think we could guard them off the dribble. They've got some good players. I think Murray is the best freshman in the league period. Murray scores a lot and he doesn't shoot too many shots. He's a far more economical player. Their whole team is going to be good next year because they're young. They are hard to play against. You've got to be a very athletic team to guard them. We are not athletic."

Nova Southeastern - Garth Campbell - Senior

"I'm going to miss being around the team and the excitement of college basketball. I'm going to miss being a part of this program that is going to really grow in the future. We've got a new gym coming and coach Tuell is really going to turn this program around and turn it into a winning program. I guess I can say I was a part of the whole process."

"It was exciting for me coming in. The last big tournament I played in was in high school. We really thought we had a chance to win it because we played a lot of close games with these teams. We were confident coming in. We wanted this game to give us a boost and carry us to Friday, but unfortunately we didn't get the win."

Nova Southeastern - Kluis Wimbush - Senior

"I enjoyed being around all the guys. We have a great group of guys with camaraderie."

"This was the first game in about eighty when I actually got nervous before the game. It's exciting being in the conference tournament. My adrenaline really got pumping and maybe that hurt me. I think the Sunshine State Conference is really special and I'm glad that Nova is going to have a chance to be a part of it."

Florida Tech Head Coach - Kris Olson

"That's Florida Tech basketball right there in 2004-05. Every game we play comes down to the final 30 seconds. We've had our share of heartbreak. We did a good job defensively and rebounded."

"It was a back-and-forth game. We came up with the plays down the stretch. We just played them Saturday, the exact same game. I was proud of guys that we didn't have any flashbacks. We made the plays down the stretch and I think we were just a little more aggressive and that won the game for us."

On what E.J. Murray brings to the team:
"Leadership. We have some pretty good leaders. He's just brought that will to win, that steadiness. He's had some big games down the stretch. Anytime your point guard is a distributor and a scorer and he doesn't take many shots to score that is huge. Defensively, he guards, he battles, and he guards anybody. He was very honored to be on the All-Freshman team. If we let E.J. shoot a little bit more and he was a little more selfish his numbers might have been better. The last 4-5 games, he's averaged about 15-16 points. Coming into this last game he made ten 3-pointers in a row."

"Normally we like two days to prepare for a game, but at this point in the year it's all about how you are playing yourselves. I think a day off will be good for us just to rest. One of the toughest things about tournaments is that you are out of your element. We are already comfortable in the hotel and tomorrow the beds will feel like their own beds. For us I think that it is an advantage. We got our nervousness out of our system tonight. We know we are the underdog in the tournament and we like that role."

Florida Tech - E.J. Murray - Freshman

On his last second free throws:
"I wasn't really thinking about missing them. I felt like I was going to make them. Coach told me to put them in, so I put them in and thought about falling back on our defensive strategy, which you have to do to get a stop."

Florida Tech - Ryan Maultsby - Junior
"It feels great to win. Our coach talked about getting our nervousness out of our systems before we play Lynn, and hopefully now we can just play it and win."
