Thoughts on the game:
We came out with our press and that really set the tempo for the game. We caused a few turnovers and I think the pressure took them out of their game a little bit. I feel we played well and our bench came out strong for us. It was a real team effort. Our guards did a good job moving the ball around.

Thoughts about the upcoming game with Rollins:
I think we’ll match up great with them. We’d love to have her (Lucrescia) in there. Does it me that with her is that a sure win, no it doesn’t. With Cre is that a sure loss, no it doesn’t . We get on the court and we play the game. On paper we match up extremely well. I think it’ll be a great test, the difference is we’re used to playing with a player who generally starts for us and plays 25-35 minutes a game, where they will start their regular five. I think it’ll be a great game to watch.

Carrissa Collie—G, Sophomore

Increase in scoring:
I felt I need to start making changes. I’ve never touched a championship before, I feel we have a good chance. The team and the coaching staff has been encouraging me and it finally clicked.

Lucresia West—C, Senior

It was good team basketball. We had to come together and we worked the ball around well. They have to continue to play their game even if I’m not there. They have to work had and play good defense.

Brian Shultes—Head Coach

Game Summary:
Credit to FL Southern they played like the number one seed in the conference, they played very well and we threw everything we had at them it was just not enough.

Difference of have Lucresia in the game:
It’s the time of the year and Lucresia is a dominate player. We had a tough time containing them today.

Pulling the game to 1 pt. in first half:
We changed defense. We went to a zone and that tended to pinch in Lucresia and Monique and contained them a little more.

Qunisha Rush—G, Senior

On being tight at the start:
I don’t feel like we came out tight. FL Southern played a good game. Just too many second chance points for them and that’s where they beat us at.

I’m going to miss my team. I have to get out in the working world. Hopefully I’ll be able to get into basketball.

Anna Gernandt—G, Junior
Leading scorer and leadership next year:
I learned a lot this year. I think we’re going to have a great year next year.

We’re going to miss Q a lot. We love her on and off the court.
