Thoughts on the game:
All year long we’ve battled a lot of adversity, since the start of the season we have not been healthy. One thing about this team they are going to give you a fight for forty minutes. If I had to have six players, I wouldn’t want any other six. I don’t believe any other team is as talented as we were. In this game we fought FL Tech all the way to the overtime, but you can’t expect to win a game when you give up 21 offensive boards and 31 turnovers.

It was a great fight. FL Tech ran a lot of players at us; we have to learn from this and we’ll be back next year.

Being on tonight:
I had a good warm up and I felt good. My team is always looking to get me the ball. We click well together. I guess it’s easier to have chemistry with six players than it is to have it with fourteen. I know it’s important for me to score.

Feelings on the season:
I definitely think I would exchange my numbers with the season they are having this year. To be able to play deep in to March, I would give my scoring average up in a minute and not be home in my dorm

Final minutes of the game:
This is what we worked all season for, at three minutes you just have to suck it up and play the game. We are probably in the best shape of our lives, maybe the conference.

Next season w/ new players:
As long as they work hard as we do they’ll fit in.

Florida Tech

John Reynolds—Head Coach

Game Summary:
First, I want to congratulate Lynn on an outstanding and gallant effort. We threw everything we had at them. I’m proud of our kids because it’s hard to play a team like that. They’re underdogs and you think you’re going to get them at some point and our kids had to find a way to keep battle in that game because they weren’t going to go away. You think at some point they are going to tire and we’ll get the chance to turn it up another notch that just never happened.

Time out before Overtime:
At that point we didn’t think overtime was a bad option for us. There was no way we were going to take an early shot and give them the chance to score. I thought it was better for us.

Ty-Anna Caravano—G, Senior

I just knew we needed three stops. Three big stops and you need to capitalize on them. That’s what the coach always says you need. So I kept telling the team on the court all we need is three stops. We made our free throws too.

Being a young team and Tomorrow’s game:
We have a young team. As a senior captain, it’s like a job of mine to help keep everybody’s head in it (the game). They thought Lynn was going to be an easy game and we had to let them know that the tournament is a different story. We have to work on the flow of keeping everybody’s heads up, keep them motivated, so we don’t get discouraged down the stretch.

Shayla Fisher—F, Senior

Nervous going into the game or overtime:
I wasn’t nervous at all. I just knew we had it. I never got to a point where I thought we were going home. I guess I just can’t see that right now. I knew we were going to do it with whatever it took.
