Florida Southern

Diane Foli—Head Coach

Thoughts on the game:
Rollins came out on fire they smelled blood and they went after it. They were running on all cylinders today. Overall their energy level, their intensity, they just seemed to have an edge today. You can sense it. I know our kids wanted it too. Our inability to shut down the three really hurt us. We talked about great defense and controlling the glass, and unfortunately we didn’t do that in the first half.

Lucresia West not in the line up:
You take away any person, especially one of there starters it’s going to affect the way a team plays. You’ve got player at the college level, NBA, NFL, where they have three or four players deep on line ups and when a starter goes down that’s all that’s talked about. Of course, one player does make a difference. She is our leading rebounder and scorer, close to tops in our steal. You take away a huge part of both ends of the court when you take her out of the mix. I still think we matched up well going into this game.

Rosemary Perry—G, Senior
Commenting on ankle:
It’s a continuous thing. It’s frustrating for it to happen at anytime, for it to happen in a game like this it’s frustrating especially for it to be my last game.

With coach on and off the court tell you how it is. Some times it’s what you need. Jus tin life in general.

Monique Bunch—F, Senior
Catching up in the second half:
Not quick but we had to take it one basket at a time. We were down 17 points at half time, we knew that 17 points weren’t going to come quick; you try to take it one basket at a time. It was tough to see that we were down 20 to 30 points you have to keep telling yourself to give 150 percent intensity, maybe we might win the game out right it just won’t be as bed.

Game Summary:
We shot the ball well and played very good defense. We had players go at the beginning and during the season, we finally got really good chemistry. It just started to click. We are peaking at the right time

33-13
Oh my got we’re going to give up the lead. I was saying that with three min to go. I asked the girls what they thought they needed to do at this point. I wanted them to decide what needed to do to get the job done and they did a great job.

At halftime with the lead:
I let them decide what needed to be done.
Jennifer is pretty seasoned now. We took knocks early in the season and she has matured because of that.

Randi Weiss—F, Junior
On her shooting today:
I’m had the shot. I just couldn’t take it all the time during the season.

Nicole Warder—G, Senior
The guards help create an extra spark and when everyone is contributing its good.

Sr. feeling right now:
I knew there was going to be a point when we were going to come together. We worked though it.

Momentum for tomorrow:
We have to continue from where we left off here. Either team is going to be hard

Larissa McDonough—F, Sophomore
We new we had an opportunity without West being in the game. We knew the rest of the team wanted to beat us also.

Jennifer Musgrove—G, Freshman

I just go after the ball. Try to get the rebounds

Quality of play:
It’s very competitive. I’m not really surprised.
